From The CEO’s Desk: The Value of a Family Vacation

The Value of a Family Vacation

We just got back from an incredible week in Panama, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

In this work, we spend our days sitting with clients who have lived extraordinary lives, hearing about the risks they took, the places they went, the adventures that shaped who they became. And more than once, I’ve caught myself wondering: what will we say when we’re their age?

So this time, we unplugged. We traveled as a family, stood at the edge of the Panama Canal, walked through the rainforests of Central America, and just… connected. No calls to return between excursions. No inbox pulling at the back of my mind. Just us.

As much as we love what we do, and we really do love it, moments like this remind me why we do it. Our clients teach us, every single day, that a life well lived is made of these moments: the ones you step away for, the ones you’re fully present for.

I came home with sand in my shoes, stories I can’t wait to tell, and a full heart. Grateful for the time to reconnect with my family, and now more ready than ever to get back into the work that matters most.

Here’s to unplugging, so we can show up better for the people who need us.
