Rhonda Kantor
Rhonda Kantor is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in many areas of health, wellness, and client centered care. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN – University of Illinois at Chicago) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leisure Studies (BS – Recreation Therapy at University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana). She began her nursing career in Chicago, primarily with seniors, and has experience in medical/surgical nursing, home health visiting nursing, home health office nursing, and behavioral and mental health nursing.
She is a Board Certified Holistic Nurse (HNB-BC), Board Certified Health and Wellness Nurse Coach (HWNC-BC), Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT), and Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with the Yoga Alliance.
She has experience working with clients and family members in many different settings including hospitals, home care, community centers, and health and fitness studios. She is a health and wellness nurse coach, yoga teacher trainer, and private session yoga instructor including gentle chair yoga, breathing and relaxation techniques, and stress reduction. Her knowledge and areas of interest in health and wellness include matters related to sleep, meal plans, fitness goals, leisure and social activities, community involvement, assessments, plans and strategies, and health and wellness lifestyle changes.
She is kind, understanding, and patient and truly enjoys working with clients and family members co-creating personalized plans for health and wellbeing with an integrative whole person approach. She has a broad knowledge base in person centered care, holistic nursing, complementary modalities, and health promotion.
