Marisa Castaneda

Marisa Castaneda is a seasoned care manager with 20 years of experience in the field. A bilingual professional, she brings the ability to connect with a diverse range of clients across language and cultural backgrounds.

Marisa began her career with the Department of Children and Families for the State of Connecticut, where she spent eight years as a treatment social worker and investigator of child abuse and neglect. In this role, she collaborated closely with behavioral health specialists, substance abuse treatment providers, domestic violence programs, attorneys, school staff, and medical doctors to coordinate and monitor care for children and their families.

She then transitioned into care coordination and medical case management in Florida, working with managed care organizations for eleven years as a long-term care case manager and care coordinator. This role spanned a wide range of settings, including acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and in-home environments, serving patients across the full spectrum of need, from largely independent to medically complex.
