Ileana Cahen holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Behavioral Science with a minor in Philosophy from Barry University. Ileana has extensive experience working as a mental health counselor, grief and bereavement counselor, life coach, care manager and advocate. Furthermore, Ileana has additional training and certifications in ecotherapy, clinical hypnotherapy, reiki, and mindfulness teacher.
Some of her experience includes working with Holocaust Survivors, geriatric care, chronic mental health issues, survivors of abuse, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss, bereavement, and nature-based healing.
Ileana has worked with the geriatric population for several years and understands the importance of providing the support that is needed to keep her clients engaged, active, and safe. She is empathic and treats all her clients with the utmost respect, kindness, and compassion.
