After 30 years of experience in case management and social work in New York, Bella Temer, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), relocated to Florida and joined the Senior Options team. She earned her MSW degree from CUNY Hunter College School of Social Work and pursued her career in clinical social work. She has an extensive background in nursing home, home care, and guardianship fields.
Bella has served as Director of Social Work in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities for nineteen years and worked in home care for over twelve, providing supportive services to vulnerable population–geriatric and older adults. She enjoyed leading the Case Management Department at the Guardianship Project for four years, working with multidisciplinary team of lawyers and finance associates providing person-centered care to older adults and individuals with disabilities and mental illness, who have difficulty making decisions and required help.
Bella’s focus has always been on clients’ needs and how to address them proactively, with dignity and care so that clients have the most fulfilling life possible.
Bella was practically raised by her grandparents, and always knew that there was something special, and unique in the relationship between the generations, the relationship with the elderly. Her grandparents went through the horrors of World War II, and never lost the desire to live, their incredible sense of humor, and enormous love for each other and family.
Through the years, being a social worker, Bella realized how precious and valuable it is to be there to help and support when it is most needed, at the time of hardship.
